Invisible Line

This poem might be about the uncrossable invisible line of the political in the personal applied to individuals or to society.

Operations

The narrator in this poem must know how it feels to be an automaton doing repetitive operations.

Addressing

Some poems are multi-layered though they might not seem so at first.  On repeated readings, this poem stays as intriguing as it is magical–the political, the personal, the sensuous, all rolled into one.

Hierarchy

We read this as a subtle political poem, something said about hierarchy and power.  Even the name of the magazine ties into this quite accidentally maybe. Plus, the writing is exceptional.
